What is the SSAIB and why is it important to use an SSAIB-registered installer?

The SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) is an assessment organisation approved by the SIA (Security Industry Authority). They operate a certification scheme which requires installers to comply with up to date and relevant British and European safety standards, and high standards of service. The SSAIB accreditation scheme is recognised by insurers and is subject to independent scrutiny.
All of this means that when you choose an installer which has been approved by the SSAIB, you can be sure that all work carried out by their staff is of a very high standard and complies with all relevant safety legislation.

Why do I need an alarm system?

The presence of a good intruder alarm not only alerts you or your neighbours to a break-in at your home, but also acts as a deterrent to potential intruders.
Monitored intruder alarms provide even greater protection by contacting the police on your behalf as soon as your alarm is triggered. This improves the response time, which drastically helps to reduce crime.

Will my pet trigger my alarm?

"Pet-immune" sensors are available for all requirements. These are not triggered by the movement of your pets in your home, and avoid the risk of false alarms.
Please ask a member of staff if you require pet-immnue sensors fitted in your home.

Will my security system be maintained?

Full maintenance and six-monthly service in accordance with ACPO policy is included in our monitoring service, so you can be sure that your alarm is always in good working order.

Is a security system expensive?
